The very final thing I drew for Long John. Couldn’t be more poetic.

Everything was drawn for the book but I felt the Paoha Island section went a little fast. However, when adding pages, you have to think in terms of two pages at a time. So, there was no better reason to insert a two-page spread than to have a quiet moment before we head into the final scene of the story.

This image came to me so quickly, I didn’t even draw a thumbnail for it––just went strait to the page and knocked it out in a day and couldn’t be happier with the final product. I think this is the best image to encapsulate the entire story in one, which is why I included it as a mini-print with the Volume 6 preorders.
