Losing Every Thing Changes Everything
Wishing you all the best! Your drawing of Long John discovering a present in the deep snow under the tree is at once beautiful and poignant.
Unlike Long John, I was not lonely or cold. I played Santa again at our warm and large family gift exchange. My son, nephew and I trade off each year. My turn this year. Red union suits are required as an actual Santa suit is too expensive. When seeing me in my long johns, white beard, black boots and Santa hat, my seven year old grandson asked this year, “Why is Santa Claus in his underwear?” I told him my clothes got dirty with soot climbing down and up in chimneys.
By the way do you ever wear union suits yourself?
